Aussie Nails Monday 21/1 - Skittles

Hey hey! :) I just wanted to start by saying thank you soo much for 100 likes on my Facebook page! So awesome! Thank you! :) I also got to 4000 followers on Instagram this week!! :D
AND, I'm almost at 200 blog followers! Which is soo exciting! I never ever thought in a million years that anybody would want to read my blog! :) I am thinking about doing a giveaway in a couple of months to celebrate and thank you, so keep your eyes peeled. ;)

Today for Aussie Nails Monday, the theme is Skittles! I think some of the ladies in the ANM group will take "Skittles" literally and do a mani inspired by the lollies. :P A "skittle manicure" is usually when you do a different colour on each nail. Or the same colour on each nail, but a different nail art design on each nail. I don't think there's really any "rules" when it comes to skittle manicures ... I hope. Hehe.
I did more of a mix and match manicure than skittles but I hope it still counts. I just don't feel right wearing a completely different colour on each nail haha. So I did something using 3 colours. I wanted it to all tie in together.

On my pointer and middle nails I'm wearing OPI Stay The Night from the Mariah Carey collection. This is one of the new Liquid Sand polishes! I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the Liquid Sands but I think they are so cool!
Stay The Night is a black base with black and pink-ish red glitter. And as the name "Liquid Sand" would suggest, it dries to a sand-ish looking finish. But it's not overly rough or scratchy like I thought it might be. The texture does make me shiver a bit to touch though lol!

On my pinky and thumb I am wearing a berry-ish pink colour by Rubi Shoes (by Cotton On) called It's Getting Hot In Here and I added a little black rhinestone at the cuticle. :) This is the closest colour in my collection to the glitters in Stay The Night, so it doesn't exactly match.

On my ring finger, I did some stamping! I used my favourite white, Ulta3 Lily White as my base and then I used the lips design on stamping plate QA28 that I bought from Born Pretty Store and a random black polish.

And here is a close up of what Stay The Night looks like! I think it looks so awesome! The red glitters still sparkle a lot even though the overall look is matte.

This is something so out of my comfort zone but I love it so much! I want to try more mix and match nails!

Check out the other awesome Aussie Nails Monday ladies! :)

Undie Sunday

Hey hey! I have another Undie Sunday post for you. You can see my first one HERE where I explained what exactly 'undies' are. ;)

Some of you (my blogger account tells me 8 to be exact) have already seen this post because I accidentally scheduled it for last Sunday instead of today. Woops. -_- Sorry hehe!

Sportsgirl Nail It! - Skeleton. A pale grey with green undertones. Definitely more grey in real life. This is 3 coats, no topcoat. Despite it being sheer, it was REALLY nice to apply! I wore this under a Gloss n Sparkle polish HERE. This was one of the first polishes I bought myself when I started getting into polish. I found it on sale in Sportsgirl, probably because most people wouldn't pick a colour like this. It's my only Sportsgirl polish but I LOVED it!

OPI Tomorrow Never Dies, from the Holiday 2012 Skyfall collection. I can't decide if this is purple or blue. I think it's purple but it's got a very blue undertone. And every single lighting I photographed it in, my camera captured it blue. GRRR! :( So it's definitely a bit more purple than this in real life.
I wanted to say it's a shimmer but I think it looks a bit metallic. Almost frosty. This has potential to be brush-strokey if you aren't careful. I wore this under a Darling Diva Polish HERE.
2 coats with Essie Good to Go topcoat.

Sinful Colors Easy Going. I wore this under a I Love Nail Polish polish HERE. :) Easy Going is a  really light pink creme that can look white sometimes. It's basically the same colour as Essie's Fiji, but I like the formula on Easy Going more. 3 coats, no topcoat.

Essence (Ready For Boarding Collection) 03 Exits On Your Right. Nice spring pastel green, with more of a yellow undertone than most pastel greens you see. :) I wore this under a I Love Nail Polish polish HERE.
3 thin coats, no topcoat.

Rubi Under The Seaport (Rubi is the shoe shop made by Cotton On). A dark teal-ish navy. I can't believe this was almost opaque in ONE coat. For a cheap brand, the formula is amazing. Heck, even some expensive brands don't go on as nicely as this. I absolutely loved this polish! This is one I will definitely wear again. I'm so impressed! The only thing I have to say is that it stained on me, so I'll double/triple up on the base coat. For me, staining is a small price to pay for a pretty polish. :)
2 coats, no topcoat. As you can see it dried SOOO glossy without topcoat! So awesome!

OPI The One That Got Away is a really gorgeous raspberry pink glass fleck! This one is from the Katy Perry collection but you probably already knew that. ;) It was a bit thin and it did pool in my cuticles a couple times but if you're careful and do thin coats it's no problem. Sooo pretty!
3 coats, no topcoat.

Hope you enjoyed this Undie Sunday! ;)
