OPI - Sprung

Hello me lovelies! :) Hope you're having a great weekend!
I have a polish to show you from the OPI Mariah Carey collection. This is the only one I picked up other than the Liquid Sand shades. The other "normal" colours were either too grandma-looking (sorry to all the Grandmas out there...) or I had something too similar.
Ps. Sorry that my "pose" is really weird in these photos... I find OPI bottles so awkward to hold in photos and I'm trying to find a "pose" that is comfortable but still looks normal in photos. Lol I know, how sad that I think so much into it :P

Anyway, this is Sprung! Sprung is a glass fleck finish with a bit of a duochrome to it. It's sort of copper-y, but also rose gold because there's definitely some pink in it.
It's really pretty! I think I'd prefer to wear it more in autumn, though. It seems more of an autumn colour to me. Haha. (Although it's supposed to be autumn now... Hurry up cooler weather!) I'll definitely be sporting this more in the colder months, plus more shades like it! :)
Sprung in the bottle - wish it showed up this duochrome-ish on the nail!

Did you pick up any of the OPI Mariah Carey collection? :D

Mrs P's Nail Potions - I ♥ NY Collection Swatches & Review... Finally ;)

Guyssss! Guess what I FINALLY have to show you today! The I ♥ NY collection by Mrs P's Nail Potions! This collection is based off of Sex And The City. I've never watched that show so I can't say anything about whether the colours fit the characters or the show. Sorry haha. I'm sure some of you have watched it, though.
Unfortunately the post takes a long time from Canada to Aus but it's ok because these were well worth the wait! :D Don't quote me on this (seriously, don't lol) but I heard that the postal system in Canada has changed very recently and now things won't take so long to ship from there? (Correct me if I'm wrong... I just heard it lol).

I posted a preview of this collection a few months ago, HERE. If you'd like an in depth description of each polish and where the inspiration comes from for each polish, you should check out that post. :)

All Lawyered Up
All Lawyered Up is a pink-ish red jelly base with medium red and orange hex glitters.
This was great to apply, I had no issues at all. I did have to move the glitters around a little to get them where I wanted but that's nothing unusual for glitters. :) Swatch shows 2 coats with top coat.

Can't Colour Enough
Can't Colour Enough is a pink shimmery base with loads of glitter in different colours, shapes and sizes!
This is so fun! :) It would be perfect for a birthday party or something! I didn't want to take this off when I swatched it! Haha. I added a little thinner to this one because it was a teeeeny bit too thick for me but nothing terrible. :) Swatch shows 3 coats with top coat.

Searching For Mr Right
Searching For Mr Right is a white base with pink hearts, small pink holographic glitter as well as iridescent glitter.
This is so insanely cute but unfortunately it was a bit of a pain to apply. :( It was very thick, much too thick for me, so I thinned it but even then it was hard to work with. :( I'm sad because I was SO excited for this one! I think this polish would be best to wear over an opaque (or sheer) white polish so you don't have to do multiple coats. This also would've been so perfect for Valentine's Day! Dang! haha. Swatch shows 2 coats with top coat.

The Big Apple
The Big Apple is a black jelly base with small silver glitter, red hex glitter and white diamonds.
This looks so awesome! I love it! The diamond glitters required a bit of fishing to get out of the bottle but it wasn't impossible. The black base would be pretty sheer on its own I'd imagine, so I layered it over an opaque black. Swatch shows 1 coat over an opaque black with top coat.

The Naked Dress
The Naked Dress is a nude jelly base with small and medium gold hex glitters.
I'm not totally sure how I feel about this one on me. I don't think this nude works great with my skin tone but I still really like it! It's probably one of the most work appropriate indies that I've seen! It's subtle but still sparkly and pretty! Swatch shows 3 coats with top coat.
PS. Sorry about the close up shot for this one. I forgot to take a proper close up and I didn't want to leave it with no close up at all. :(

My favourites would probably have to be The Big Apple and Can't Color Enough! :) I just wish the formula on Searching For Mr Right was a bit nicer, then that would definitely be up there in my faves too!

Mrs P's Nail Potions are available on Etsy! You can also check out the Facebook page for updates :)

Loony Lacquer - Disney Princess Collection Swatches And Review

Hey guys! Happy Valentine's Day! :) I hope you have a fantastic day! I know that Valentine's Day is mostly celebrated by people who are in relationships but I really think that you can even if you aren't in a relationship! Hang out with a friend or your family or someone else you love! :) Or just spend some time alone and pamper yourself and watch a movie! :D

Anyway, today I will be showing you some polishes from an awesome new Aussie indie brand, Loony Lacquer by Mani Madhouse.

This is the Disney Princess collection by Loony Lacquer! I may have squealed with excitement when Marie told me about her Disney Princess collection! I love Disney! <3 If I could go anywhere in the world, I'd go to Disneyland/world. I've dreamed of going there ever since I was really little and would watch Disney movies on VHS, where they had ads for Disneyland/world before the movie.

Anywhooo... Onto the polishes because I know that's what you're here for. :D

Ariel's Ocean
Ariel's Ocean is a sheer, frosty, shimmery base that is teal-ish blue (super hard to describe!!!) with small and medium white (or maybe baby blue...?) and lilac glitters, plus larger red glitters.
Just looking at this in the bottle I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but on the nail it is GORGEOUS! It really does remind me of the ocean! :)  I did have a little bit of trouble getting the red glitters out.
2 coats + top coat.

Aurora's Sleep
Aurora's Sleep is a clear base with white microglitter, as well as holographic pink microglitter and slightly larger (but still very small) pink holographic glitters.
This is really cute and you could put it over pretty much ANY colour! :)
1 coat over OPI Lincoln Park After Dark + top coat.

Belle's Gown
Belle's Gown is s beautiful yellow gold foil-ish polish with some small gold flakies mixed in.
This isn't a great colour for my skin tone but it suuure is pretty! :)
3 thin coats + top coat.

Cinderella's Slipper
Cinderella's Slipper is a shimmery white base with blue microglitter (I think there's a lighter and darker blue), as well as larger blue holographic hex glitters and white (or light blue...) squares!
This is definitely my favourite of the collection! It's so adorable! :) It looks a little patchy at 3 coats but that doesn't bother me too much.
3 thin coats + top coat.

The Loony Lacquer Disney Princess collection will be launched tomorrow, Friday the 15th of February! You will be able to purchase them on the Loony Lacquer Etsy store. Australian only shipping at the moment. You can also like them on Facebook for updates! All Loony Lacquer polishes are handmade and 3 Free.

Australis - Milky Way - Mission Untrieds #10

Hey guys! Happy weekend. :P I picked up one of the new Australis glitter polishes last weekend! I think this is the only one I'll grab, though. The others don't really appeal to me.

Australis Milky Way is an off white base (sort of leaning on the grey side) with lots of multicoloured glitters in it.
It's really cool because this reminds me of a lot of indie glitters that are out there!

On my left hand I did 2 coats of Milky Way over a white base because I wasn't sure I'd like it on its own.

On my right hand (yes, I have one ;)) I did 3 coats of Milky Way on its own.

I have to admit I don't like this polish as much as I would like to. :( It just didn't look that nice on the nails.. But I think I did prefer it worn on its own rather than with an opaque base.
It was also quite thick and it became harder to apply with each coat.
I do like that it looks like cake icing or something though, hehe!

Have you tried any of the new Australis polishes? If not, do you think you will? :)

OPI Liquid Sand - Get Your Number and Stay The Night - Mission Untrieds #8

Another Mission Untrieds post today! :) These are just swatches but that still counts okay. :P
I'll be showing you two of the new OPI Liquid Sand polishes from the Mariah Carey collection. I think these are the only two I'll buy from the Liquid Sand part of this collection. I have my eye on one of the "normal" polishes from the collection.

First is Get Your Number. A blue jelly base with holographic glitters. I love that these polishes (but especially this one) are still sparkly even though they dry to a matte textured finish! :) I'm not sure I'd like them if they were completely matte and un-sparkly. These are made to be worn without top coat, but I think you could get them smooth with 2 or 3 coats of top coat.
This is 2 coats with no top coat.

Shade
Flash
I've already featured Stay The Night in this manicure but I thought I'd show you a full swatch. :) Stay The Night is a black base with red-ish pink glitters. This one isn't quite as sparkly as Get Your Number, but still really pretty.
This is 2 coats with no top coat.

What do you think of this new Liquid Sand finish? I've seen that a lot of other brands are now doing this too but I haven't seen any from other brands that I'd want to try.

Liquid Glam Lacquer Swatches and Review

Hey guys! :) I have some swatches from a brand called Liquid Glam Lacquer for you today!

Sadly I'm not sure that she's still selling some of the shades I'm going to show you, they were limited edition around Christmas time I think. But I hope you'll still enjoy my swatches! :)

All photos are taken in the shade because the sun wouldn't come out! :(

This is Cinnamon Stick, a clear base with small gold and red glitters, and slightly larger (but still small) red glitters. Even though it has a clear base, it's pretty dense! I wish I'd had this one to wear around Christmas!
Swatches show 2 coats of Cinnamon Stick over OPI "Big Apple Red".

Fireworks is a clear base with small silver, magenta and blue glitters, as well as really small silver bar glitters. I really like the tiny bar glitters! I'm not a huge fan of bigger bar glitters, though I don't hate them, but these are nice!
I believe this is the only one of the polishes I'm showing you that is still available to purchase on the Liquid Glam Lacquer Etsy store.
Swatches show 1 coat over black.

And lastly, Stocking Stuffer, which is a clear base with silver hex glitters, as well as red stars and pearl-y white hearts!
This is so cute! I thought the hearts would be hard to get out but they weren't at all! Even though this is a Christmas polish, I think it'd work for Valentines Day too! Maybe if it were layered over a pink or red.
Swatches show 1 coat over silver.

Although 2 out of 3 of these aren't available anymore, I loved swatching them and I can say that all had a fantastic formula! :)

Liquid Glam Lacquer is sold on Etsy. You can also follow them on Instagram! Full size bottles are $8.25USD each, and you can get a mini for $3.50USD each! :)
