Hey guys! :) Just a little update before I get into the polish - I made a new twitter account just for people interested in polish/my blog to follow! A lot of people following my old twitter probably don't care to hear about polish. Hehe ;) So you can follow me @LissasPolishAdd (my whole blog name wouldn't fit. -_-) if you'd like! I haven't been using twitter for a while but I'm getting back into it! It's fun! Follow me and we can chat about all things polish!
So anyway, I have my swatches and review of the Essence Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn pt. 2 Trend edition nail polishes for you! There is 4 polishes in the TE.
You can see the Press Release that I posted for this collection HERE.
NOTE: I have to apologise before I show you the polishes. I actually swatched this collection probably 3 or 4 times but hated the photos I took, the lighting sucked etc. Finally I was content when I swatched them for the 3rd/4th time, but they're not my best, I'm sorry. :( These bottles were so hard for me to "pose" with, without making my hands look stupid LOL. PLEASE forgive the fact that the lighting is seriously inconsistent in my photos.
A Piece of Forever* is a yellow gold that is on the frosty side. The formula on this one was a bit thick but not hard to work with. I needed 2 coats for opacity. It was quite brush-strokey too. This sort of gold isn't very flattering on me and I'm not a huge fan of this sort of finish in polishes, but I have heard that this polish works well for stamping and I don't currently have a gold that works for stamping so I'll save it for stamping! :)
Alice Had A Vision - Again is a dark purple base with blue and fuchsia flecks! It is so gorgeous! I did 2 coats. Love this one.
Edward's Love is a black base with loads of silver flecks! In my photos up close I could see a tiny bit of what looks like green flecks but in person I definitely didn't see green! I used 2 coats.
Jacob's Protection is also a black base with strong blue flecks but I think I also see some subtle silver and maybe purple flecks too! This one also needed 2 coats for opacity.
Overall I am in love with these polishes! The flecks in them are absolutely gorgeous! My favourite would have to be Alice Had A Vision - Again. Even though I'm not a huge fan of A Piece of Forever*, I'll definitely use it for stamping or nail art! The polishes all have a really nice wide, thick brush which I really like and find it makes application very easy. I'll definitely be wearing one of these when I go to see the new Twilight movie!
Since my swatches of this collection weren't my best, you should go check out the swatches HERE that Valesha from PeachyPolish posted. Hers are PERFECT!
I'm not a MASSIVE Twilight fan anymore, but I used to be when I read the books in 2008, just before they started releasing the movies. I still really like it though and am excited to see the last movie! :)
The Essence Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn pt. 2 Trend Edition is available NOW at Target stores nationwide! The polishes retail for $3.95ea.
